Group counselling facilitator role

DAAS are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced self-employed practitioner to facilitate our regular in-house 6 weekly Chesterfield based counselling group supervision sessions.

If you are interested you will need to be a qualified supervisor, BACP accredited,  with  a minimum of 2 years experience in facilitating counselling group supervision and ideally  some experience and knowledge of the effects of substance misuse or addictions.  The hourly rate is from £35 per hour.

Derbyshire Alcohol Advice Service (DAAS) is part of the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership (DRP) and provides a counselling service for clients accessing DRP for support with their substance misuse.

DAAS counsellors are from a wide variety of therapeutic backgrounds and therefore the facilitator will need sound knowledge of many disciplines including but not exclusive to PC, CBT, TA and psychodynamic.

The counsellors work with clients on a 1:1 basis helping them to address the underlying issues that have led to substance use.  Some of the counselling work is with relatives of substance users and counsellors follow a specific model with this client group where possible.  There will be training to support your understanding of the family model used.

Closing date is 22nd March 2019.  Interview 2nd April 2019.
